The Kench

The Kench is a small nature reserve part of it is a (sssi) or sites of special scientific interest. At low tide waders and Brent Geese feed on the mud. At high tide there are a few places where the waders roost in large numbers. After the mud is covered by the sea there is a small island that dose not get covered until the tide it right up you can view this island from the end of the path in the above photo. The kench is 3/4 of the way down Ferry Road.
